With over 25 years in the hospitality trade we offer self-catering apartments and hotel rooms in the historic Garfagnana area of Northern Tuscany. We are situated just 36 km north of Lucca and just 4 km from Barga , a pretty medieval village reknowned as one the most beautiful "borghi d'italia"

A family run business we have 3 x 2 bedroom apartments and 1 x 1 bedroom apartment. and 3 double rooms ensuite. We can offer accomodation for groups of 26 /27 people. Situated just 250 yards from the local railway station La Mezzaluna makes a perfect base for those who wish to visit the nearby cities of Lucca, Florence, Pisa and the famous Versilia Coast. Our complex is ideally for families with older children not quite suitable for young children in prams and pushchairs not unless you have a car. Ideally suitable for walkers, bikers.

Bearing in mind that Tuscany is mostly a mountainous area, a car isn't strictly necessary if you wish to relax and use public transport, but I would suggest hiring a car to visit all the nearby beauties of this region. This is all complimented by our restaurant which seats 70 persons plus bar area plus we have a veranda with a spectacular panorama overlooking the Apuan Mountains.

Our specialities include pizza cooked in the traditional log oven. Friday specials include Fish based dinners including FISH AND CHIPS.
