Our bed and breakfast, is located on the border of La Garfagnana and is 36 km from the town of Lucca.

We are just 4 km from Barga, one of the most beautiful villages of Italy, a medieval village of rare beauty with many tourist attractions.

Our complex  has self contained apartments and ensuite rooms with the Formula Bed and Breakfast, half and full board.


BLUE APARTMENT

1 double room with private bathroom, 1 double room and 1 twin room, a bathroom, small kitchen dining area, spacious outside area with table, benches, gazebo and bbq.

RED APARTMENT

1 double room ensuite (room with fireplace), small kitchen dining area, terrace with magnificant panorama.

La Mezzaluna has also 3 double bedrooms ensuite and one twin room ensuite.

Prices are inclusive of bed linen, towels, electricity, heating.

Bookings are normally from Saturday to Saturday but may be more flexible due to low-cost midweek flights.

A 30% deposit will be secure your booking and the remaining balance can be paid on arrival. In the event of cancellation your deposit will be refunded if we are able to relet the property.

Our Restaurant

Our restaurant seats 30 inside and 30 outside and is available for lunches, dinners and parties, on booking only. Our Menu includes local cuisine with home made pasta, fish based meals, mixed grills and steaks and pizza cooked in log oven. A private car park is available.

We accept all credit cards except Diners.

Directions to La Mezzaluna

From Pisa: take the motorway (green signs) A12 north, direction Genova, join the A11 direction Firenze (1st exit).


Exit at Lucca Est

Follow signs for Castelnuovo Garfagnana. Continue round the Circular Road, the City Walls are on your right. Keep following for Castelnuovo up the Serchio Valley for about 35km. When you come to the sign Welcome to Gallicano, turn right direction Barga after 1km you arrive in Mologno, continue up to the the crossroads, turn left, you will see our sign "La Mezzaluna" after about 100mt.


Train Information

The web site for train information in Italy is www.trenitalia.com.

Take the train from either Pisa Areoporto, or Pisa Centrale. Pisa Centrale is a 5  min Taxi ride from the airport, so it is often easier to do this.

The train route you need is "Pisa-(Lucca)-Barga-Gallicano.

Some trains are direct, some you have to change at Lucca.
